New streetlight way too bright. Needs baffle

Whilst it is good to see the existing street light in front of our house in Chapel St, Watlington, replaced with an economical, slim, LED version, I am not so pleased that the baffle on the old light that stopped our house being illuminated inside and out has not been replaced - and the new lamps have a very unfriendly cold, very bright white light. Even with the blinds drawn it’s like being in an office building at night now! May we have a new baffle fitted to the lamp urgently to stop the glare through our upstairs windows (No. 29) please? Thanks in anticipation. Nigel Hilton

With thanks for attending so quickly, but could the baffle be put on so that it hides the light from our house and not the road? Our neighbour opposite would also like one on her side of the lamp as they too are affected - so, baffles to both sides but neither end please. Many thanks, Nigel. (29 Chapel St. Watlington)

Sadly nothing further appears to have been done yet - apart from the wind (I assume) moving the baffle diagonally across the lamps which looks odd and, of course, serves no purpose. This would suggest that only 1 securing bolt was put in originally, so I guess we can look forward to many variations on a theme in future... I would rather have it properly secured in the correct position though please.
