Absolute Carnage

Reported via mobile in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 09:07, Sat 19 March 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Can you please explain to me how the residence of Ambrosden and Launton are going to be able to make there way into Bicester in the next coming months, when the road today (19/3/22) at 8am, is absolute carnage with just the lights at the ploughley road junction to the A41.

Not to mention the closure of the bridge in Launton meaning that traffic has no option but to be sat in Ambrosden & on the A41.

I am a resident of Ambrosden and my children go to school in Bicester … please explain to me how you expect me to get my kids to school on time without leaving the house at 7am! - for a 10 minute Journey!

Whilst I appreciate the roadworks need to be done on the A41, I find it utterly baffling that you would close the only other exit into Bicester.

With the rising fuel costs, are you going to fund the additional, up to 10 miles extra that I may have to take to get out of the village and around the outskirts of Bicester to get my kids to school on time?

This has been poorly managed with timing and needs to be looked into.
