Lamp that has not been fixed for 5 months
Reported via desktop in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 17:31, Fri 11 March 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This street lamp has been out since late last year. Approaching 5 months. Despite reporting it and claims that is has been fixed, it is becoming almost laughable in terms of the 'progress' reports. I have been told that the contractor has fixed the problem and the report has been 'resolved'...Three times now I have had to report it. I can assure you it has not been fixed. The lamp is still out. The cover has now been wrapped in a plastic bag, when what the cover needs is a new steel nut and bolt. We have gone from sticky tape to plastic bags and no light at night still. Nearly 5 months and a cherry picker, 3 visits and 7 workmen to cover the base of the lamp in a plastic bag. Please take a look at the correspondence which shows that someone is actually being negligent in their report. The lamp is NOT fixed.

The temperature is about 38 degrees today and we have a rising puddle as you enter Bell Lane in Henley on Thames. It is coming out of a metal drain - I think it must be a leak back tracking as no way have we had rain to cause puddles! You fixed a leak about six weeks ago in the mai s connection in Bell Lane beside my house. 102 Bell St Sandie Harrow

Thank you for your report. We have assessed it and found that it does not currently meet the criteria for intervention, so will not be fixing at this time.
