Signposts turned round
Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 13:07, Thu 10 March 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Signposts approaching the new roundabout at the bottom of Springfield Road and Charlton Road have been turned sideways so drivers cannot see them. This has been done for all signposts in both directions down Charlton Road, the "new road layout ahead" sign as well as the "give way" and roundabout signs. Drivers can only see the road markings, which are also now quite faded. This has been like this for over a week I think, not sure how long.

I used a stepladder and 13mm ring spanner to turn them back myself. I suspect that they may have been turned round deliberately to cause a collision to get the roundabout rebuilt properly. The central island is not even raised up, unlike the double roundabouts at Ormond Road and Garston Lane.

Dear Mr Moss,
Thank you for reporting this, unfortunately this is the third time these signs have been turned round. Our Site Inspector contacted the contractors on site today and they advised they would put them back into the correct positions this afternoon. Our Site Inspector will check tomorrow that this has been completed.
Kind regards
