Need a mirror on Barnes rd

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

When trying to exit Knolles Rd onto Barnes Rd your vision is restricted due to cars parked on right. Causing difficulty in exiting junction. Can a mirror be added on Barnes Rd that you can see from Knolles Rd allowing you to see traffic coming up Barnes Rd from Templars Square. I believe there is a lamp post or telegraph pole that the mirror could be fixed to

  • Thank you for your report. The Oxfordshire County Council do not provide or support the use of road mirrors on the highway.
    The image they provide can be misleading in terms of vehicle speed and distance giving drivers a false sense of security, potentially leading to vehicles emerging injudiciously. They are also prone to vandalism, fogging in poor atmospheric conditions and glare from the sun or car headlights.
