Road Closed signs
Reported via desktop in the Current Roadworks - live information category anonymously at 17:17, Sun 23 January 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I am aware road works are pending. However .... There have been Road Closed signs at The New Inn Crawley, with advanced warning and diversion signs in the village and at the end of Foxburrow Lane. They have been there a week and there is no sign of any work being done. Car are ignoring the signs. If work starts cars will apply a 'cry wolf' scenario and continue along the road. Once at the New Inn, there is no where to turn round and difficult reversing along a narrow road will be requires. Either start the work or remove the signs.

Hooray. After a minimum of four days the Road Closed and Diversion signs have gone. And guess what, Highways, there is not a sign of new tarmac at the pub or any where down the road. Come on Highways, think about all the people who have been inconvenienced because of Gigabytes inefficiency. If Gigabyte had to rent the road, the work would start the same day.
