Sainsbury & Argos lorries blocking Station Lane

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
THE PROBLEM: Since Argos moved to Sainsbury's several years back, it has changed the dynamic of Station Lane. 1. Residents are regularly blocked from exiting their homes causing 15 minute traffic hold ups along Station Lane. 2.Heavy Goods lorries park on double yellow lines (often for many hours!) in the residential area awaiting entrance to Sainsbury's delivery and then reverse down the lane which is dangerous as it crosses the footpath to The Leys where school children cross. 3. Sainsbury's management have been informed but nothing changes. i.e. It is not the fault of the lorries drivers but poor planning.
COMPLICATION: Sainsbury's were not granted planning permission for the additional Argos lorries which is a considerable increase of HGV's.
SOLUTION: 1. Establish lorry parking bays prior to the keep clear turn into Sainsbury's Delivery depot. 2. For Sainsbury's Management to be more considerate to residents and lorry drivers by creating timed deliveries slots.

Perhaps removal of some parking bays would free up space for at least one lorry to park and wait safely.
