Several potholes on the B0149 Highworth roars approaching Bradbury clumps from Highworth about 100m or so before the car park.

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:27, Friday 14 January 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I haven’t had to drive this route for some time but was driving the rout this morning, thankfully behind a slow driver when I hit an unavoidable pothole. My tyre blew and I had to call out roadside discovery. When in the mechanics they say the numb seemed to have broken the coil spring which had gone into my tyre. Very grateful I was going below the speed limit. Wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else. I had to pull over after the potholes so couldn’t safely go back to photograph but think the should be easily seen. Thanks

  • Thanks. When I got picked up we went back to have a look though we couldn’t stop to photograph due to traffic. The hole I hit was towards the centre of the road (heading towards Faringdon) about half way up the hill towards Badbury. I hit it on my drivers side, hence difficult for drivers to avoid.

  • Large potholes about 10-15cm deep and about 30 cm wide on northern side of road about 50m from bottom of hill. High risk hazard as cars need to swerve out into middle of road into fast moving traffic coming down the hill.
