Thanks OCC for switching to will be fixed. This is an urgent one as it is causing damage to vehicles and is unsafe. Please confirm when fixed. Very best, Cllr Juliette Ash

At 10.00am on Monday 21st Feb I also unavoidably hit this drain hole cover which blew my tyre out. I wasn't able to take a photograph or get hold of the RAC to help me out but thankfully a young man stopped and changed the wheel for me enabling me to get back to Faringdon and get the tyre replaced. I shall be claiming compensation!!!

The manhole has completely collapsed again (24.02.22) - very dangerous to cyclists/motorcyclists and will cause serious damage to any vehicles hitting it - repairs only lasted 3 days.

As of 25/2/2022, this collapsed drain surround has still not been fixed. I had been diverted this way due to an accident on the A420 and was unfamiliar with the road. Cars were coming the other way so I could not avoid it as it protrudes far in to the carriageway and my car is not narrow (BMW 5 series). It actually looks like it has been cut out ready to be filled so is deep and has really abrupt edges. My tyre has been damaged (bulge on the sidewall). Fortunately, the wheel doesn't appear to have been damaged and I was able to drive home on it. I will have it checked properly tomorrow. Known problems like this cannot be allowed to continue for the time this seemingly has and the council should be liable for damages and shouldn't be able to claim they don't know about it.

There are two or three drainage grids in the same state on this stretch. This is completely unacceptable and extremely dangerous.

Manholes are still not repaired on this stretch of road. These will continue to cause damage to vehicles and makes vehicles serve to avoid them with oncoming traffic potentially an accident waiting to happen.
