Pavement in very poor condition
Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 14:45, Thu 13 January 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The pavement adjoining Gravel Hill from the main entrance to Friar Park up to Pack and Prime Lane is in very poor condition. It has obviously been patched on various occasions but it is very uneven with numerous trip hazards and needs complete resurfacing. The bank adjoining the path has old tree trunks and branches dumped on it, which slide down the bank onto the path. Weeds such as brambles and nettles are growing across the path and a substantial part of the width is covered in fallen leaves. It is very slippery and the reduced width means pedestrians have to walk in the road to pass each other, which is very dangerous as the traffic moves very fast down Gravel Hill. The road is also full of wet leaves, it does not look as if it has been cleared for a long time and a number of the road drains are blocked.

Thank you for your report I have inspected the location previously, and made repairs to those sections which needed immediate attention. Due to the amount of footway requiring attention I have forwarded this request to the highways technical officer who will investigate further with a view for this location to be added to the footway resurfacing programme.
State changed to: Investigation complete
