Dangerous pavement surfaces

Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 14:29, Thursday 13 January 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

Dear Sir/Madam On Tuesday afternoon, I took a tumble in Worcester Place. I slipped on the new paving slabs outside the Cohen Quadrangle and landed hard on my right knee and left hand. The hand and wrist are sore but the knee is badly infected - I tore my trousers in the fall. I’m not taking this any further but I wanted to alert you that those new pavement slabs are lethal when they are wet or as in this instance, when algae growth has not been removed. I have also heard from a friend this afternoon who has similarly slipped and knows of two other people who have also slipped on the same slabs. Time for some action. Sincerely Ike Garson
