Drainage system constructed without our permission has resulted in damage to the road in front of our property

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:02, Wed 29 December 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Rainwater is being drained down the hill from the reservoir areas and the drains built into the hillside below the drainage system itself causing more serious flooding at the foot of the hill outside our property, damaging the road and vehicular access from the road onto our property. As the drainage scheme takes up 100 metres of our property we want a) a proper flood drain at the bottom of the hill in front of our land and repair to the road. b) rental for the use of our land as a drainage scheme from we think approximately 2012 - rental to be assessed by an independent assessor or you accept our retrospective rental of £1000 pa from the date of commencement of this drainage scheme on our land. Ongoing rental of £1000 pa or an offer to purchase the freehold of the land being used by this scheme. c) adequate work to be undertaken to drain excess floodwater from the roadway at the foot of the hill.
