The street light at the junction of Mill Road and Priory Lane is not working. You are wrong to say that OCC do not maintain this light. It has ALWAYS been maintained by OCC. There is a PUBLIC FOOTPATH along Priory Lane to Abbots Grange which has a very high usage. It is shown on OCC Publicly Maintained Highways map. It is also shown on OCC Changes to the Definitive Map & Satement of Public Rights of Way since 21st February 2006. Footpath reference 293/9/10 shown on the definitive map. There are disabled and elderly people in the immediate vicinity. Please arrange for repair as a matter of urgency.

This street light is still not working. You reported on 24/12/21 that it should be done within 4 weeks, even allowing for Christmas and New Year this is well overdue. Last night there was very nearly an accident when two runners ran across the front of my car just as I was exiting Priory Lane. They has no form of illumination and approached me from the side therefore they did not appear in my headlights until they were in front of me. As always I was travelling slowly at that point and an accident was avoided. Some vehicles travel in this vicinity much faster than I do. An accident is waiting to happen. I remind you that there is a public footpath maintained by OCC, path no. 293/9/10 here. The light also serves Mill Rd and the part of Priory Lane covered by the footpath. Please attend to this matter urgently.
