Street light not working

Street light no.2 in Cornwallis Close. Reported on 3.12.21 street light not working. Comes on occasionally for 1 hour but usually not at all. Very dark!!

  • Ref: 00394938 Thank you for your report, this has been logged on our management system which is in the process of being replaced. Our termed contractor will aim to have this repaired within the next 4 weeks. If it is found to be a supply fault this will be passed to the local electricity network operator to attend.

  • 2 men came on 21-12-21. I explained to them that it was an intermittent fault- more often off than on!!!! Both nights since their visit the light has not worked, I dont know if they thought they had fixed it or if they need to return with an appropriate replacement part!!

  • It is now 13.1.22 ie 6 weeks since first reporting that light no.2 in Cornwallis Close is not working. Initially an intermittent fault, since the men came to look at it on 21.12.21, it has not worked at all! Are there any plans to get it fixed in the near future?

  • On 15th Dec 2021 you said your aim is to repair the light in 4 weeks- it is now 8 weeks since I first reported the light not working!!! Can you please give me an update on progress. I am surprised how dark the Close is with this light out of action- a safety issue!!!

  • On 17th Feb 2 men came and replaced the lamp at the top of the pole and the light now appears to be working - thank you!
