This road is dark at night and the signage is right on the traffic calming island, the sign or another one should be at least 100 yards before the sign to warn people it’s coming. I gave seen numerous occasions where people have nearly had accidents. Because they don’t know it’s there. The one on Carterton road is causing more problems as you can’t see traffic very well due to overhanging trees.

Thank you for your report and concerns raised within. We are working closely with the developer to have these works completed as soon as possible.
The completed works will have bollards and street lighting to illuminate the cushion to provide enhanced visibility.
The current traffic management is within the guidance and regulation standards, providing advance signage to alert drivers before approaching the cushion.
Recently an independent Road Safety Audit has been undertaken to ensure the current condition and location of the works are safety compliant.
The operation of the cushions around Brize Norton were all observed during the audit and from observations, drivers were reducing speeds and manoeuvring safely around the cushions.
