Dead tree removed, but 2 healthy ones as well?

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 11:53, Sat 27 November 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

A report was made regarding a dead tree outside out boundary, the report says this has been referred to the contractor. However, it appears that 3 trees have been removed, 2 of which were healthy, logs left on the side and now there is a straight line of sight to the property opposite. Why were 2 healthy trees removed, which now allows a clear on to our property from the road and house opposite.

  • The trees were most likely removed to allow space for machinery to be placed in the removal of a standing dead tree in poor condition. The placement of this machinery would have been integral to insure that no damage was caused to surrounding utilities and to remove a potential risk to the highway.
