Manhole cover makes loud booming noise every time a vehicle drives over it

This problem was reported by another property owner back in December 2020, and on two other occasions subsequently, with the request for some remedial work to be conducted to stop the noise. Nothing has been done and the noise is getting worse – intolerably loud at times. Aside the noise, we are also concerned that if the problem with the manhole cover continues there may be structural damage caused to surrounding properties. Please could something be done as a priority. Thank you.

  • This report is not the responsibility of Oxfordshire County Council we have reported this two manhole outside 5 kings road one is belongs to BT and the other one is belongs electricity board we are chasing them to get it done bear in mind road closure will be needed for them to carryout the works.
