Overgrown trees are extremely close to the power lines

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 15:52, Thu 25 November 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Overgrown trees coming over the road are becoming increasingly close to both the power lines overhead and properties. Concern that the trees may fall in severe weather this winter and cause damage to road, lines and houses. This could cause significant issues as road is leading to Culham Bridge. Would appreciate the trees to be trimmed back from overhead to prevent issues during the winter period. Thank you.

  • I have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are
on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by OCC in our
capacity as local highway authority. The trees present are on land maintainable by
an adjacent landowner and not by the County Council. You can access the land
registry at: https://www.gov.uk/ search-property-information-land-registry to find
details of the adjacent landowner to pursue your enquiry.
    Many thanks for your enquiry
