Damage to planter

Reported via desktop anonymously at 17:51, Sun 14 November 2021

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I'm a councillor for this ward and a resident made me aware of the below - I have also flagged this with ODS:

A coach from Horseman Coaches of Royal Berkshire (sic) went down Howard Street on Thu 11 November at about 2.30pm.

It was too wide to get past the parked cars and the tree planter outside number 50 Howard Street.

So to get through, the driver slowly drove against the planter, breaking the planter apart on its road side.

As a result, some of the wooden sections are broken away from each other and the soil has spilled out. This will be washed away in heavy rain and jeopardise the plants' viability.

The driver's action was witnessed by myself and a neighbour. Two passers-by pushed some dislodged wooden sections off the pavement.
