Trees in Corn Street, Witney

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 15:43, Mon 1 November 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Back in July I reported an issue with the trees in Corn Street, and the need to trim their bases and low hanging branches. Your response was as follows: "The trees described in your enquiry are part of our annual epicormic removal program, where we remove the basal and stem growth the trees put on. We are starting works in the coming weeks and this area will be done as a priority." However, nothing has been done! Was the priority high or low?

  • I have inspected the trees as described in your enquiry. It appears that this street was missed this year in our annual epicormic removal programme. I have instructed our contractors to carry out works to remove all the basal growth as soon as they are able.

    Many thanks for your enquiry.
