  • Just to say this, and the other dangerous bridge problems, have been reported REPEATEDLY since they started occurring exactly a year ago. Our recently re-elected councillors have been urged to get their (proverbials) out for months but as you can see ... they've achieved absolutely NOTHING ! AND Councillors Prosser and Enright (now the Great Panjandrum of Transport for OCC) live at the end of this path: since for their green credentials they don't use their cars because they urge the rest of us not to ... they must be frequently walking to town past these problems !

  • Thankyou for your enquiry this is on the program to be repaired in January and is scheduled to be inspected this month.

  • The bridge seems to be getting worse. As you walk across the middle it is now really bouncing. Many people are now avoiding the middle of the bridge as it seems very unsafe. The ten weeks have well passed that it was hoped to be mended. The bridge rails are rotten. Its an utter disgrace.

  • I was told that this was going to be repaired in November. Why has this changed to January? The bridge is in a dangerous state, and it won't take much for someone to fall into the river when leaning on it.

  • This bridge, and the adjacent bridge, across the River Windrush continues to deteriorate. The central panels move alarmingly. When is it scheduled for repair and what arrangements are being made for all the regular users of this very busy path?

  • Some of us have tried to get more publicity about the long-continuing delay in repairs here and at West End by writing to the Witney Gazette. They wrote to Cllr Enright. It now seems "they" don't want really want this all being exposed to the public gaze for the time being ... Hhhmm. "Kicked in to the long grass ... " again ? This report like others before it, suddenly "disappears ?

  • Quick enough to close town centre for cars. I've sent letters to Witney gazette. But they only seem to print majority of letters from Oxford
