Streetlight obscured by hedging

The street light that is meant to light up this dark alleyway is obscured and not lighting up the area it should as the hedging in so high and blocking the light. You can see how far the hedge has come out from the photo showing the pole hidden in the hedge. Please can the hedge be cut back so the alley can have the benefit of the light.
