Incorrect placement of traffic calming measure

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 20:44, Fri 15 October 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The new traffic calming measure approaching Brize Norton from Carterton has been put in a dangerous place with impaired visibility as you approach Brize Norton. The traffic calming has been very poorly implemented and in my opinion has made the road more dangerous than it was prior to the new calming.

  • Dear Mr Legood,

Thank you for reporting this and the concerns raised within. We are working closely with the developer to have these works completed as soon as possible. Regarding concerns about the physical cushions, we are in the process of arranging a Road Safety Audit by an independent body.

    Kind regards
    Road Agreements Team
