Road subsidence A4095 North Leigh
Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category by DAVID ARCHER at 12:59, Tue 5 October 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I reported this problem on the A4095 in 2019. The road is still sinking.
Its approximately 50m pass the new, (badly laid) road surface to the access junction for the to new housing estate. Travelling towards Woodstock, from Witney.
The subsidence is increasing and the road has a large dip/drop. This causes drives to pull in to the centre of the road and cross into carriageway of vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. The reply I had back in January 2020, was that it had been inspected and was going to be fixed. I appreciate that we have been in unprecedented times. But is this still on your radar, and when is it going to be fixed.
Hopefully you will do a better job of resurfacing this, than the new very uneven junction that has recently been done.

Road Subsidence A4095. approx 50 meters from the New housing development in Northleigh Heading from Northleigh toward Longhanborough . As per the report above this subsidence on the road is really getting worse and travelling this road on a daily basis I constantly see cars trying to avoid the large dip and just missing oncoming traffic, the dip is so bad that it feels as though it is pulling your car off the road.
