Cycle route runs out

Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 17:27, Mon 4 October 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Crossing to Barton Park by bike is acceptable. One then "lands" on a nice flat area, but what happens next? There are no dropped kerbs to allow access to the nearside of the main carriageway, nor any signage to show whether cycling is permitted on the footway ahead. Whether or not this road is "private", surely suitable cycling provision should have been mandated from the start?
