Thames Water damage to storm drain pipework during water repair works

Reported via mobile in the Drainage category anonymously at 08:02, Wednesday 29 September 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Thames Water came out to fix a water leak (refs 1020096760 and 31663819) and during the process of digging the hole appear to have damaged the pipe between the road drains. It's in the photo aprox 60 cm below the ground level. We did try to point out the damage to them while the hole was open but they did not repair the pipe. We phoned them and they said its your responsibility which seems unfair. Apparently its better to dig up the road as many times as possible rather than all crowding in when the hole is still there. Excuse the sarcasm, we've been dealing with Thames Water for too long! Anyway it's now got tarmac covering it but it is still broken. We are worried about flooding as our house is below the road with no defences. Without the drains working the road floods. This is worse for our neighbours who are further down the hill.
