Overgrown Trees and hedge

Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 14:32, Friday 24 September 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

We have recently moved in and the house has been empty for some time. As you can see from the photos the hedge is overgrown and blocking the view of oncoming traffic. This has resulted in a number of near misses when pulling out of the drive with Cyclists and on coming traffic. the house is positioned on the slip road to the A40 and traffic travels extremely fast pass the house causing even more danger when trying to exit the drive. Although their are give way lines for cyclists to stop and let us out often they are travelling at high speeds and don't leave them selves enough stopping time. We have only been in the house two months and have already had three near misses. As you can see from the photos the trees are extremely high and were raised in the survey as need to be reduced by the owners (Oxford Highways) In addition to this they are so high the power lines are entangled in the branches. Ideal solution is hedge is reduced in width and height and trees are either removed or reduced in height. Recommendation from the surveyor is that the one closes to the house is removed.
