Road speed sign has been obliterated at dangerous point in road
Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 12:47, Friday 24 September 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The large 30mph warning signing painted on the road has been obliterated. This needs to be rectified ASAP as the corner beyond is often taken too fast by vehicles which has resulted in a large number of accidents (9 we know of over 10 years). Originally reported on 11 September. You say that you are working with the parish council to address this issue but that utility works are planned in the next few weeks and therefore it only makes sense for the markings to be refurbished after that. You have marked the original report as No Further Action. I imagine this means the report comes off an action list somewhere? Can you explain how we can be sure that the relevant action will be taken and will not be overlooked later once the utility works have been carried out?

Thank you for your further enquiry. Please be rest assured that the linemarking refurbishment has been ordered with our linemarking contractor and this will be undertaken after the utility works have been undertaken and the weather allows the linemarkers to undertaken their work.
We hope this helps.
