Traffic lights causing long delays when no worker present

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Temporary traffic lights have been put up on this busy highway for building works in an adjacent site which do not affect the road. Traffic lights are not removed after workers have left for the night. This is causing long delays and queuing traffic along a road with blind sections. This is dangerous and should be removed especially during rush hour.

The message needs to be very clear to our councils, we would rather spend time with our families than suffer the lack of consideration and sometimes abuse of contracts and sub-contractors using temporary traffic lights when they are not present, and when there is negligible need (actual safety issues, not low-risk ones), for temporary lights in the first place. Obviously, this is different for partially completed roadworks (e.g. deep holes), but there is a balance between taking up hundreds, possibly thousands of people's time every day spend needless queuing for temp lights and (sub)contractors lack of appropriate management. The balance needs to be with the people, not private contractors.
