Overgrown footpath

Reported via mobile anonymously at 09:21, Mon 20 September 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

The public footpath that runs along the back of the houses in Crosslands Drive connecting Copenhagen Drive to Wootton Road is so overgrown as to be almost impassable and one of the gardens have extended their fencing over the path. In places it is so bad you are walking on a bed of vegetation not the tarmac.

  • Thank you for your report. I have visited the site you pinpointed on the map, Wootton Road to Copenhagen Drive link footpath, side of 204 Wootton Rd, see photos, and appraised the issue that you have identified. This overgrown vegetation, unfortunately, doesn't meet our current, immediate, intervention criteria, so I cannot arrange a quick repair. I have requested it be placed/logged onto the list of HATER (vegetation) jobs that will be assessed for inclusion in future programmed works, subject to there being no conflicting works and sufficient funds. We will continue to monitor this site during our routine inspections. I am therefore closing this report.
