Fix promised on traffic light pole on cycle lane at Seacourt Lane lights has not been implemented fully

Reported via desktop in the Highway Schemes category by Graham Wright at 14:20, Friday 17 September 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 week, 2 days, 22 hours, 11 minutes later

I reported issues with this traffic light pole which had been placed in a dangerous position on the cycle lane outbound on Botley Road.

Oxfordshire County Council posted in early July that the fix for this would be: "A white line (road marking) from the kerb edge where the information tactile paving is tapered towards the pole to provide visual deflection for approaching cyclists is to be included. In addition, to help visibility, white reflective bands are also to be added to the signal poles."

The white line has since been installed. However, eleven weeks later, reflective bands have yet to be added to the signal poles.

This is a real issue for cyclists in times of darkness or poor visibility. The fix needs to be implemented as soon as possible, to reduce the existing accident risk.
