Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 35 minutes later

Wood bridge on the footpath second one on the path going towards Waitrose needs to be inspected. Railings on the bridge are not in a good condition and it might cause an accident for a pedestrian.

  • Yours makes at least the 30th report on Witney"s failed footbridges like this (handrail failed in Nov 20). This is the critical bridge in the new multi-million East - West Witney Eco Travel Route scheme our new OCC councillors have been promoting: yet on at least one occasion Cllr Enright was asking via FMS what was being done (not) ?!! - implying he didnt know, tho isn't HE supposed to be one of the new brooms in charge. Sadly all this confirms is the steady local government drift from "Tackling Essentials" towards "Let's think of a New Gimmick". Last FMS report said the existing broken handrail (not the decking or anything else) will be sorted by mid November: ONE year on ! BET ?
