Abandoned Crossing Repairs and Barriers
Reported via desktop anonymously at 10:52, Fri 3 September 2021
Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This pedestrian crossing has remained unrepaired for at least two years now and there's currently barriers laying over the broken traffic lights/broken pavement. These barriers are consistently blown into the road and are causing a hazard for motorists and pedestrians. I've had to stop my car on two occasions now to move barriers out of the road. Please may this crossing either be repaired in full or at least have the site tidied up so the loose equipment no longer poses a risk to residents.

Dear Mr Hattan,
The reason the crossing hasn’t been repaired is because it is being replaced by a new development, which is due to start shortly. The Technical Team in Road Agreements are carrying out the technical audit at the moment. We were originally hoping work would have started 18 months ago, but this has been delayed due to Covid and changes to the design.
Kind regards
