Roadwork barriers

Reported via mobile in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 23:16, Wed 25 August 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The barriers that have been in place for months now for new traffic calming scheme are dangerous with an accident waiting to happen! Visibility is so poor in a car you cannot see oncoming traffic therefore everyone thinks is own right of way! Please resolve ASAP as Berryhill road is now more dangerous than it was before!!

  • The problem still exists, and further to the current report the visibility , the vertical alignment of the road exacerbates the issue. In the temporary condition a cyclist is at extreme risk especially after dark as other road users will not be able to see the lights on an oncoming bicycle A traffic safety audit should have be carried out on the temporary traffic management and on the location of this unnecessary traffic control measure. Moving the 30 limit signs away from the junction would have been sufficient as currently they are too close to the junction.
