HGVs using B4508 as a diversion route

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:36, Tue 24 August 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is a large of number of HGVs using the B4508 as a diversion route because of the closure of the Whiteheart roundabout. This road is not suitable for HGV and very large vehicles. The s-bend just before Westmill bridge is narrow and has two blind corners. You only have to look at the number of tyre skid marks near and around the s-bend to see how dangerous this is. Signage needs to be put in place at B4508 junction with the A420 indicating that the road is not a suitable diversion for HGVs.
