Camera to catch dangerous drivers
Reported via mobile in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 19:07, Fri 13 August 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
When a bus stops at their stop just before the bridge, there are double white lines “supposedly” to stop vehicles crossing them to oncoming traffic. This has little effect as I often see cars (including taxis) overtaking the bus and forcing oncoming traffic to enter the bus lane on their side of the road to avoid heading on collisions. I have seen this on numerous occasions and I’m surprised there hasn’t been a serious accident before now. If a camera was positioned to catch culprits, it may deter them from breaking the law and if not at least they can be prosecuted.
