Overgrown roundabout top of Dukes Meadow Drive

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:49, Fri 13 August 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

Due to the roundabout being so overgrown there is no line of sight for pedestrians or cars. A serious accident is waiting to happen when crossing from Hanwell Fields to the new Sainsbury's Local as you cannot see for vehicles coming when crossing in either direction. Personally had two near misses in three days!

  • As per the photos, the overgrowth has been cut back on the Sainsbury’s side of the roundabout but the greenery on Dukes Meadow side is what is causing the hazard. When crossing on the assigned crossing point you cannot see the cars coming round the roundabout coming down the B4100 from the Warwick direction. As I said previously this has the potential to cause a fatal accident as the cars cannot see the pedestrians and visa versa.
