Road still closed. Lack of information

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

Thames water leak. Supposed to have been fixed yesterday the 12th as per the road works website https://one.network/ uk/ oxfordshire The incident has been removed from the website now so it looks like the road is open. It is not. A major thoroughfare and it looks like nothing is being done. Chaos.

  • The road works/closure website has been updated. Looks like it will be closed until the 20th of August. Thanks.

  • This road closure is marked as affecting Tothill on one.network. The pin is positioned at the Wychwood Inn. Both of these are incorrect. The road closure is to the A361.

  • It is now over a week since the A361 through Shipton under Wychwood was closed due to a water leak. That was fixed immediately but the road is still closed and there is no sign of anyone even thinking of repairing it. This is a busy road and the heavy traffic is being redirected through either AScott under Wychwood or Milton under Wychwood , neither of which have the road capacity to carry the amount or size of vehicles that this entails. It is totally unacceptable that over a week on it is still closed.

  • Street Light on the corner by the Wychwood Inn, not working, this is a very dark dangerous corner
