Road verge is not marked in any way

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 09:54, Wednesday 11 August 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

The south bound approach to the corner on the B481at the old Dog&Duck site is now totally unmarked and not demarcated in any way. There are no road markings and it is not clear where the road ends and the verge begins. This in conjunction with the paucity of speed, road narrowing and upcoming bend warning signs up to that point on this road means that many drivers take the corner too quickly and then over correct which has caused two recent RTAs just beyond the corner (May 2021 and August 2021). This needs to be rectified as soon as possible.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, working with the Parish Council we are arranging for our linemarkers to refurbish the line markings around the corner by the old Dog and Duck. However, we do note that utility works are planned here for a few weeks’ time and therefore it will make sense for the markings to be refurbished after then.
    We trust this assists.
