Road sign painted on road has been obliterated

Reported via mobile in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 09:46, Wednesday 11 August 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The 30mph road limit sign painted on the south bound carriageway as drivers approach the corner at the old Dog&Duck site on the B481 has been obliterated. This needs to be rectified ASAP as the bend that follows is often taken too fast by drivers which has led to numerous accidents over the last 10 years, including 3 serious RTAs since November 2019.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, working with the Parish Council we are arranging for our linemarkers to refurbish the line markings around the corner by the old Dog and Duck. However, we do note that utility works are planned here for a few weeks’ time and therefore it will make sense for the markings to be refurbished after then.
    We trust this assists.
