Floodlit garden

Reported via mobile in the Street lighting category anonymously at 21:51, Tue 3 August 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The light in the pathway area has been excessively bright for years. It died over last few days and has been replaced by an even brighter lamp that creates almost daylight. Disrupts sleep and makes the garden permanently lit. This was reported on fixmystreet months ago and the ticket has for some reason disappeared.

  • It is the middle of the night and the house is lit as though midday. Unacceptable

  • Thank you for contacting us over this concern. We will consider this request along with many others later this financial year. However, this will be subject to there being no conflicting works and sufficient funds.

  • Thank you for a response. It is like having a floodlight outside the window. In the meantime, please have the light turned off - it was quick to be replaced when it died and should be equally quick to remove/turn off.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • This item is still to be resolved. A screen was possibly fitted to the wrong street lamp.
