Dangerous raised/hidden pavement
Reported via mobile in the Pavements category by Trish Elphinstone at 16:34, Tuesday 3 August 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The pavement outside the Pen to Paper shop is dangerous to pedestrians. If you look out from the shop (see photo 1) the path appears level. Where in fact there is a drop (see photo 2). This is has been the cause of several people tripping down off it. Last week a child fell down, smashing their head and being rushed to hospital. It is particularly hazardous for the visually impaired and treacherous when it snows
The assistants in the shop suggest that it could be replaced by a slope down and/or to paint warning lines at the pavement edge. Can something be done?
