Cycle barriers on three sections of footpath from Green Furlong to Colwell Road and Lay Avenue have cycle barriers on them. Residents using wheelchairs/mobility scooters not able to get through them.

  • Thank you for your enquiry about the cycle barriers on the footpath.
    Having looked at both the Highway Record and Definitive Map of Public Rights of way, it would appear that, unfortunately the footpaths you have indicated in your enquiry are not part of the public highway.

    This means that you will have to raise your concerns with the landowner of the footpaths. I would suggest that the Parish council or South Oxfordshire Housing Association [SOHA] may be able to assist with this.

    Sorry we can't be of further assistance in this matter.
