Manhole cover has worked loose again

Reported via mobile in the Manhole category anonymously at 22:00, Mon 2 August 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This is a new manhole cover on the B4020, on the westbound carriageway close to the entrance to Burford Garden Company. It was installed as part of the Shilton Road development. Since installation it has been screwed back down numerous times, but within a week comes loose again. Please could you come and fix it (we hear every car that goes over it, all day and night!) AND please could you find a stronger permanent solution so we don’t have to keep asking you to fix it ;-) Thank you.

  • This manhole cover has been reported again (9th August 2023) as it is again loose and very noisy when traffic runs over it. I tried to raise a Fix My Street record on the phone app today but got the response that this issue was a duplicate.

It does need fixing again please
