Speeding Vehicles on Tythrop Way

Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 16:56, Friday 30 July 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Cars, lorries and motorbikes speed along this road, which is highly dangerous as there is a skate-park on one side of the road and a children's play-park on the other. Please can the speed limit be reduced to 30mph and speed camera be put in place, particularly on the section from the roundabout to Cromwell Avenue West.

  • Thank you for your report. Changing a speed limit is both a lengthy and costly process including full design and public consultation. In the first instance we would suggest that this request is raised with Thame Town Council so that it can be considered more widely to identify if this is a priority for their area. If so, the parish council is best placed to both promote and secure the necessary funding.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
