Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
A new metal fence (over 1m tall) has been installed across a right of way that's been used for over 15 years by the local community between Hyacinth Walk and Frys Hill. Installation has taken place July 26 & 27.
I have lived in Hyacinth Walk since the road was built in 1997. Initially there was a small white picket fence between it and Frys Hill but, by about 2000, this was replaced by wooden bollards that stopped vehicular access but allowed pedestrian access (which my family use extensively - as it leads onto Grenoble Road where we have walks + go to the stadium and cinema complex. The white picket fence still exists elsewhere on the Bovis estate (notably at the end of Ox-Eye Court leading to Frys Hill). The new fence is like a security fence being high and metal. It is completely at odds with all fencing in the area,
