Deep gouge in the verge caused an accident and injury
Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category by Beverley Helen Field at 12:03, Tuesday 27 July 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
A resident has contacted the Parish Council to say that in attempting to avoid oncoming pedestrians, they stepped onto the grass verge. However, it had deep gouges in it and she fell. Her face hit the pavement and she has suffered broken bones, bruising and may require surgery. There are a number of badly damaged verges in Risinghurst, and this accident shows that they are a safety hazard. Please can you inform the Parish Council what plans are in place to repair/level them? Secondly, please can you respond to the resident through the Parish Clerk? Thank you
