Unsafe shared footpath/cycle route between Hardwick Avenue and Oxford Road, Kidlington

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I live in Hardwick Avenue, Kidlington OX5 1BJ . It is a road of Bungalows with many old and disabled people living here.
It is also a route for school children who attend St. Thomas Moore, West Kidlington School and Gosford Hill School.
Hardwick Avenue is signposted as part of Cycle Route 51. The cycle route passes along Hardwick Avenue towards the southern end where it joins a normal width footpath (as opposed to a 3 metre shared path) and then bears left past the entrance to West Kidlington School and then into the Oxford Road Service Road. This is also a school children route from Gosford Hill School, including cyclists. A school start and finish it is extremely busy. Cycling and walking have been encouraged by Cherwell District Council and this route is part of several of the advertised village walks and cycle routes so at times has now become very busy with both walkers and cyclists. This path is in urgent need of widening and marking before there is a serious accident involving either young children or elderly residents. There is an issue with people, I think following the route or instructions on their phones, not concentrating while either walking or cycling along this shared path.
My other main concern is with a few cyclists who join the footpath from Hardwick Avenue, North to South ( A straight line approach) at excessive speed for the current width of the footpath and safety of pedestrians. It may need rumble strips to slow them down.
