As can be seen from the first 2 photos the verge is now falling into the road as a result of heavy wide vehicles hitting the soft curb; excavation recently by Thames Water to repair a leak; and the installation of recent Internet cable. It was suggested during the last digging that a more substantial backfill was used. This was ignored and as can be seen the soft soil etc is falling into the road. The drystone wall is vulnerable. The 3rd photo shows what the verge was like a few years ago. This problem was highlighted back in March 2014
