Pavement bollards not replaced on The Wharf, OX12 9AN
Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 11:59, Wednesday 21 July 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
On 14th May we reported that the pavement bollard outside our lounge window had been knocked over. You sent a man to fill in the hole and order a new bollard. As these bollards are a feature of The old Wharf and this one is outside our window we should like to know what progress has been made with the order. In the meantime large vans have taken to parking on the pavement opposite the illegally parked cars on the yellow line opposite. We are elderly and like to look out of our window but not at large goods vehicles.

Thank you for your report, if the bollard has been ordered this order would have been sent to our contractor Milestone. Regarding the increased parking issues, at the moment this is still a matter for Thames Valley Police to enforce. However a new parking enforcement scheme is being introduced in November, more information can be found here; https://news.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ parking-enforcement-changes-set-to-keep-traffic-moving/ .
With this change in enforcement, the hope is parking issues like these can be dealt with faster and more efficiently than before.
